Outfit of the Day: Girly

Hey guys!
Just another quick outfit of the day!
This is a really feminine look with a cream colored babydoll top with lace detailing around the neckline and down the sides.
The whole shirt is very loose fitting, so medium wash skinny jeans look great with it.
I kept my makeup simple with shimmery off-white eyeshadow and black winged liner.
My hair is just loose curls and two side braids to compliment the look. I wore tan flats with this, but my over-the-knee black leather boots (featured here in an OOTD) would have looked great with this too.

I am not a big Hello Kitty person. It seems a little childish for me to go all out with Hello Kitty gear. However, I do like the jewelry, MAC makeup collection, and the cute phone cases. If I were to buy something Hello Kitty.. it would be this!

Of course I could never afford this gorgeous Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty pendant.  I'm pretty sure this retails around $2500. Ouch! But it so soo cute!

Easy Red Lip Tutorial & What Makeup to Wear With It

Why should red lips be so difficult? Yeah you can do the long process where you exfoliate, apply balm, concealer, lip liner, lipstick, and gloss. But for an every day look, I have finally figured it out. And its not scary looking and overwhelming.
All I did was a line and fill in my lips with NYX lip liner in Hot Red and apply NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Plush Red. It was that easy! You could even skip the liner and this gloss is so opaque you'll still get red lips. I wanted it to be more intense, so I used the lip liner.
I find that these colors flatter every skin tone and hair color. When worn with the right makeup, anyone can pull it off.
If you prefer lipstick, try Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Red Revival.

Keep your eye makeup simple, but not too simple. Just using black liquid liner is pretty with it, but can be too simple and draw too much attention to the lips. So instead, I did a light tan gray shade all over my lid, gray in the crease, and a highlight color. I used NYX For Your Eyes Only Palette in Smokey Eyes. Then I used L'Oreal Linear Intense Liquid Liner in Carbon Black and winged it out. I used Urban Decay 24-7 Glide On Pencil in Zero (click here for a review) in the bottom. I finished off with L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara. (click here for a review)

On my face I used some NARS Laguna Bronzer to contour and a hint of N.Y.C.'s Blushable Creme Stick in South St. Seashell. I defined my brows and thats it!

You probably guessed it. My favorite thing to do is makeup. I would have a really hard time getting up every morning if I couldn't put on makeup. If I have a new product, its even more motivation to get out of bed. I love anything art pretty much. I paint, do makeup, design websites and graphics, I love it all! I also love to shop of course! That's why I love blogging because I can combine everything I love and share it with the world.

Revlon Colorstay foundation for Normal/Dry Skin. 
This foundation is the best quality foundation you can get at the drugstore. It's cheap, ranging from $8-$10. I have used the one for Combination/Oily skin too, which works great. But lately my skin has been more dry. The coverage is medium, and can be full if you build it. I really like how it stays on all day and doesn't transfer on my scarves and clothes. It dries pretty matte, so you don't even need a setting powder, unless you are really oily. They have a HUGE range of colors, so there is no doubt you'll find your match.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation
Recently, I bought the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation just to try it. I like that too, but I'm not sure I will repurchase. The "improves" skin part got me, since I have had pretty clogged pores lately I wanted to see if this works better. So far, I have not seen a difference. It is more full coverage, but you do need a setting powder with this.

  I could not pick between my ELF Face Kabuki Brush or my Sigma brushes. I love them all!
The ELF Kabuki Brush is AMAZING quality for being $5. I mean come on guys, $5 for a kabuki brush? Thats crazy talk. You'd think it'd be the quality of a kids craft brush..but its not! It is amazing quality. I use this for mineral foundation, loose powder, pressed powder, bronzer, blending everything out, I love it! So multifunctional! It super duper soft and feels nice on your face. Its dense and blends evenly.
   Now one thing I have to say about this brush is..you must clean it often. I would go too long without cleaning it and my mineral foundation got built up down in the bottom of it, which made me wash it harshly. The brush did start to shed and loose its softness. I had to buy another one, and now I just clean it more often so it doesn't get built up and and I don't have to clean down to the base. But take care of it and it will last forever.

I love this bag! It is probably my favorite out of my collection. It is patent black leather and I love the shininess! It goes with everything and can be dressed up or down. Looks great with shiny boots!

Outfit of the Day: Over the Knee Boots

Hey!
I wanted to share with you how I wore my over the knee boots. These are tall black fo-leather boots I got from Amazon.com. They are the same ones they have at Charlotte Russe, but they are always out of my size so I ordered them from Amazon. And they were cheaper, only $25 for tall boots that are great quality! SO! Here goes..
Day 1: Favorite Eyeliner

Like I said in my last post (Best of Beauty 2010).. I love the Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liners. But since I just talked about those. I am going to do pencil eyeliners.
I LOVE the Urban Decay 24-7 Glide On Liners. I use Zero almost every day. I hate how you have to sharpen it, but it is so creamy and lasts all day. It is perfect for the water line. Add a little of MAC's Carbon eyeshadow on top of Zero and you will never reapply. I like using these for smokey eyes because they blend easily if you want to smudge them. You can even use these as a color base for eyeshadow.

I have been through multiple bottles of this. It has great coverage and is affordable.

Concealer: MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20
This full coverage concealer never fails.


Powder: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium
I got this recently and fell in LOVE with it. Where was I?
Bronzer: NARS Laguna Bronzer
Perfect shade of brown and not too bronzy. I don't see myself ever using another one.
Blush: NARS Orgasm Blush
This is my staple.
Highlight: Revlon ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder in Brighten
I am not big on highlighting, but when I do, I love this one.

Eyes:
Primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion 
My lifesaver. Nuff said.
Eyeshadow: NYX For Your Eyes Only Palettes. 
I use these all the time. They are great quality and so affordable. 
Coastal Scents 88 Color Palette
This was one of the first professional makeup products I got and I still use it to this day.
Eyeliner: Maybelline EyeStudio Gel Liners
I love all of these. They are better than most high end versions and last forever! 
Mascara: Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara

Brows:
Brow Powder: ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit
This is so cheap and works awesome!
Brow Gel: Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara 
I swear even my eyebrows curl. This holds them in place all day.




Lips:
Lipbalm/Chapstick: Carmex and Burts Bees
Its an even tie between these! 
Lipstick: Revlon Color Burst Lipsticks
These are awesome! They are so creamy and pigmented. Click here for a full review.
Lipliner: NYX Lipliners
These are cheap and stay on forever!
Lipgloss: NYX Mega Shine Lipglosses
I am not a bug gloss person, but I love these. They stay on for a long time and are never sticky. I love how they are very opaque. 




Nails:
Base Coat: Sally Hansen Complete Care 
This has really restored my nails after years of acrylics.
Top Coat: Seche Vite
I recently got this and I LOVE it! It makes my nail polish stay on for a full week! No joke. And it dries super fast.
Polish: China Glaze
They have awesome quality nail polishes and are a lot more affordable than OPI, which I love too, but these are cheaper and are the same.  
I cannot name a single color I like the best, but some of my favorite collections are Up & Away Spring 2010, Vintage Vixen, and many more! And of course For Audrey!
As far as OPI, some of my favorite collections are Swiss, Shrek Forever After and Burlesque.
